Cyprus is currently becoming an attractive target for foreign investment, with impressive growth recorded in the first half of the year, with around 200 international companies choosing to set up operations in the country. This not only reflects Cyprus’s growing appeal to global businesses, but also its successful economic strategy aimed at creating new jobs. The investment has created 1,200 new jobs in various sectors, highlighting the diversity and vitality of the Cypriot economy.
Companies from outside the European Union are increasingly looking to Cyprus as a strategic gateway to Europe, strengthening its status as a regional business hub. This new development makes Cyprus not only attractive to foreign investors, but also a viable choice for existing international companies looking to expand their operations. The Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus) is actively working to showcase the country’s stability, favourable business environment and attractive incentives, which plays a key role in attracting new investment.
Invest Cyprus CEO Marios Tannousis notes that the organisation has achieved significant success in attracting companies from various markets, demonstrating a proactive approach to international initiatives. One of the most notable examples was the active marketing of 65 conferences and events in 19 countries, where Cyprus was presented as a safe and stable place to do business with competitive advantages. This continuous promotion directly responds to international interest and contributes to the further development of the Cypriot economy in a globalised world.
